“Crisalidi, Storie di metamorfosi” is an illustrated book, in which every writing by Elena Branda is accompanied by an illustration by Jasmine Salah. It is a journey within the self, of today and tomorrow. Portraits of women, drawn and narrated, reveal the possibility of a human metamorphosis, through illustrations, poems and short narratives.
My design strives to establish a symbiotic relationship between the visual and written components, ensuring a seamless fusion of art and poetry. The warm, cocooning atmosphere created by the two-coloured layout, featuring pastel natural tones and elegant typography, facilitates emotional resonance of the readers with both illustrations and poems, creating a captivating and immersive experience.
